I’m testing out posting to my weblog using Flock. It’s an interesting concept, and I’ll be watching where these folks take this. 

Whoa! Don’t stare directly at the screenshot of the next version of MS Outlook. I’m warning you. Can they make it any uglier and busy? Sheesh. I’m glad I haven’t lived in that world for over a dozen years.

Whoa! This would have been a lot of fun back in my cubicle days. 12 barrels, oh my!

Do you need to generate a colour palette from a photograph. Try out the Color Palette Generator. Upload a jpg, gif, or png file and a palette is generated from the image. Very useful!

I sometimes take issue with what Robert Scoble writes, however, I really admire this honest appraisal of Microsoft’s web development tool chain. MS is going to have a hard time competing against all of the fabulous open source tools available to web developers. I wish all of my clients would read this.

I had read this story a couple of years ago, but had forgotten about it. The case of the email that wouldn’t travel more than 500 miles. Too funny!

For all you GTD geeks out there, the PocketMod is quite a useful tool.

John Gruber has an excellent piece on Adobe’s recent acquisition of Macromedia. Wow! Talk about cutting through the crap to get to the real meat of the matter. It’s insightful — and btw, humourous — analysis such as this that prompted me to become an official, card carryingmember.

Holy crap! This is huge!!! One can only imagine what kind of fallout will result from this vis-à-vis competitiion in the industry. I’ll admit that I’m somewhat concerned.

This is just way too cool. A bunch of folks have created desktop screens from photos of what’s behind their computers, thus making them look like their screens are transparent. Be sure to view the slideshow. Via boing boing.

Another in the long line of cool Google tools is Google Language Tools. You can type in some text to be translated or enter a URL. Select the languages involve, and presto. Extremely cool.

Here’s a example of a previous post translated to Italian. As my Italian is non-existent, I’ll have to take Google’s word for [...]

TELUS is blocking ports in the “name of security”. Yeah, right. Tsk, tsk. Methinks it’s more like “Show me the money!” (via Boing boing).

Go to google.com and type the prefix movie: followed by the name of a movie. Shazam, movie reviews up the whazoo. This will be a huge time-saver.
