Just prior to dinner last night, Kathryn and I were rough-housing in the family room as we often do. Kathryn is almost 2 years old now, so some of her favourite words are “No”, “Don’t”, and “Mine”. Her vocabulary has been increasing by leaps and bounds and we can actually converse surprisingly well in relatively complete sentences. (It’s been absolutely amazing watching this process, btw). Anyway, to the point of this post. As part of the play last night, I patted Kathryn on her bum. Her response to that was, and I quote:

“Daddy, don’t touch my butt!”

DJ and I nearly peed ourselves laughing! We’re not sure where she’s heard the word “butt” before, but wow!

I’m going to try to get her to repeat this tonight and record it. If I do, I’ll get the audio posted here.
