I’ve been gaining weight for the past 10 years or so. I’ve been eating too much, and eating poorly. I’ve gone from an exercise regimen of running 50+ miles a week, weightlifting, golfing, etc, etc, etc, to complete and utter inactivity. I’ve ballooned from around 155 lbs to 225 lbs! I am not amused. I’ve finally decided to get off my fat ass (literally) and do something about it.
Today, DJ and I signed up for individual programs with the SureSlim Wellness Clinic. We’ll probably have our blood tests Monday, and likely start our programs the following week. The program seems to have a very sound, scientific basis.
My goal weight is 160 lbs. As I start to lose weight, I’m planning to gradually raise my activity level. I don’t expect to be running 50+ miles per week any time soon, but I’d be pleased if I could be running 20-30 miles per week sometime this coming summer. We’ll see how that goes.
I plan to keep track of my progress on this site, including tracking my weight and activities on a weekly basis. Expect the next entry in this category to be about 2 weeks from now. Stay tuned, and wish me luck!
