July 1st, 2004. We had planned an afternoon hike in town. Judging by the clouds in the background, we were tempting fate. About 20 minutes into the hike it started to rain and the footing was fairly treacherous. Needless to say, with the precious cargo I was carrying we decided to head back to the car. Very. Very.
