Well, I finally got around to doing something about DJ’s cell phone ’situation’. We’ve been wanting to replace her aging, failing Startac for a few months now. The battery wouldn’t last, reception was crappy, etc. So yesterday, after having had her phone die in the middle of a conversation with me, I decided to get off my butt and do something. I picked up an LG5450 for myself, and passed on my LG520 (a really excellent phone,hon) to DJ. The first photo taken with the 5450 is pictured here. A little tweaking and sharpening in Photoshop, and it doesn’t look half bad.
When she got home from her errands and I presented her with her ‘new’ phone, she jokingly gave me grief asking why she didn’t get the spiffy new camera phone. Women! Don’t they get it that we geeks just gotta get the cool new toy. Gotta. Just gotta. 
P.S. I also combined our plans onto one account. A feature on this plan is ‘Family Mobile to Mobile Calling’. This gives us 2500 (!!!) minutes per month to talk to each other on our cell phones. I’m undecided about telling DJ about this particular feature.
